Nestled in the beautiful surroundings of Phoenix Park in the heart of Dublin city, Dublin Zoo guarantees not only a fun-filled and exciting day out for all the family, but is also a wonderful place to learn more about the world’s precious wildlife and some exotic animals.

Spreading over twenty-eight hectares, the zoo is home to over four hundred animals, including mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates. The zoo does it’s best to ensure that the animals’ habitats are as close as possible to their natural environments. Dublin Zoo is also a registered charity and involved in conservation programmes and partners with zoos from all over the world to help to save endangered species from becoming extinct.

Located in the Phoenix Park, Dublin 8 it is easy to get to Dublin Zoo. There are a range of easily accessible options to choose from, easily accessible by public transport as well as by car. From The Tallaght Cross Hotel hop on the LUAS Red Line Dublin Zoo is a 15 minute walk from the Heuston Station stop.

The zoo is open daily from 9:30am all year round, with exception of Christmas Day and St. Stephen’s Day. The last admission to the zoo is one hour before closing time.
